Querious, which was one of two legal tech startups to win this year’s Startup Alley at ABA Techshow in a first-ever tie, has been approved by the Alabama State Bar as a member benefit.

The approval means that Alabama bar members will be able to subscribe to Querious at a discounted rate. The bar has more information here.

Created by lawyer Hilary Bowman, who formerly practiced as an in-house counsel and law firm associate, Querious is a unique product unlike any other I have seen.

Described as “the first Legal Conversational Intelligence platform,” it provides attorneys with real-time insights during online meetings with clients, suggesting pertinent legal issues, relevant content, questions to ask, and follow-ups.

After the meeting, Querious automatically drafts a summary email, a detailed set of notes, and a billing entry, saving attorneys time they can devote to other legal work.

“Querious is a powerful and innovative tool designed to help attorneys engage in sharper, more meaningful conversations with their clients — securely, ethically, and in complete confidence,” said Jillian Jordan Evans, practice management advisor for the Alabama State Bar.

Yesterday I recorded an interview with Bowman about this news. You can watch it below.

Also, we previously recorded a full-length demo of Querious, which you can see here:
