Startup Alley: Haloo

Haloo

Elevator Pitch: We’re the ‘GoDaddy’ of trademarking for small businesses, and the world leader in trademark search for enterprise brands.

What makes you unique or innovative? We’re a Canadian, women-led deep AI startup that builds trademark software for two customer segments. Segment 1: SMB Transactional – Low volume searches and trademark tools for small and medium businesses, Amazon sellers, Web3 creators; Segment 2: Enterprise SaaS + Transactional – High volume searches and trademark tools for law firms, naming agencies, large enterprises. Trademarking is ripe for disruption. And we’re the only company in the world to do it.

What problem do you solve? Segment 1: SMBs are increasingly needing trademarks due to many drivers. But the friction in trademarking makes it prohibitive: it’s convoluted and expensive. Haloo outperforms lawyers for SMBs: easier, faster, cheaper, and failsafe.

Segment 2: Law firms, naming agencies and enterprises run high-volume trademark searches. But vetting new taglines, logos, brand/product names is a long, expensive, and error-prone process. Haloo’s Enterprise solution outperforms all other trademark search tools on the market, never missing a critical conflict, and is both disruptively fast and competitively priced.

Your competitors? Our SMB competitors are LegalZoom, Trademarkia and Trademark Engine. Our enterprise competitors include Clarivate, Corsearch, Markify, TM TKO.
