Continuing its “Road to ILTACON” series of product announcements that I wrote about earlier this week, Litera today announced several enhancements to its Litera One platform, adding new workflows designed to integrate knowledge management and client relationship data directly into Microsoft Word and Outlook environments.

The Chicago-based legal technology company introduced four new features to its cloud-based platform, which launched its first phase in April. The additions include Precedent, a beta workflow that allows legal professionals to search and retrieve precedent language from curated content libraries within Microsoft Word, and expanded integrations with the company’s Foundation and Peppermint CRM systems.

The updated Litera One combines the cloud version of Litera Create-Content with Foundation Insights and the new Precedent workflow. The system aims to provide lawyers with contextual access to precedent language and deal point insights during document drafting.

Users can now access client, matter and contact information directly within Outlook through integrations with Litera Foundation and Peppermint CRM. The platform also includes Clean, previously known as Metadact, which enables metadata cleaning for email attachments across devices, including Mac computers.

Additional enhancements include Clean Up Formatting functionality in Word, multi-document analysis capabilities, and upcoming NetDocuments support scheduled for Aug. 9. The platform has also added French Canadian language support for the Create Desktop Application.

“With Litera One now delivering Foundation and Peppermint data at their fingertips, lawyers have the information they need in seconds to better serve their clients,” said Adam Ryan, chief product officer at Litera. “Furthermore, with competition for new client business more intense than ever, the fastest partner to reply with the most relevant information can mean the difference between winning and losing business.”

According to Litera, over 2,500 law firms and in-house legal teams have adopted Litera One since its April launch. The company says that legal teams typically use more than 342 applications daily, and Litera One users save between 2-10 hours per week by consolidating workflows into a single interface.

The platform integrates with Lito, Litera’s AI agent announced last week, which is designed to work alongside the Draft solutions as part of what the company describes as an end-to-end workflow system.

Clean and Deal Point Insights workflows are currently available in Litera One. Additional knowledge management and erformance workflows, including Litera Create-Content, AI-suggested markup capabilities, and Foundation and Peppermint CRM integration, are scheduled for release on Aug. 9.

If you are attending ILTACON starting Aug. 10, Litera will be demonstrating all these features there, including during an Aug. 11 presentation by Litera CEO Avaneesh Marwaha and Microsoft’s Gbenga Ige.
