For the last 10 years, LawDroid has led the way in making justice accessible. David will be invaluable in growing LawDroid into the go-to company for AI legal solutions for the decade to come.”

According to the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) Justice Gap Report, 92% of low-income Americans do not receive sufficient legal help for their civil legal problems. At the same time, funding for civil legal aid remains uncertain: LSC’s FY 2026 budget has yet to be finalized, with the Senate Appropriations Committee approving a $6 million increase in July 2025, followed by the House Appropriations Committee’s proposed 46% reduction to $300 million in September 2025. With limited and unstable resources, legal aid attorneys and pro bono lawyers alone cannot fill the justice gap. Recognizing this reality, LSC has committed to “forward-looking funding practices that support safe, scalable, and impactful AI applications,” as stated in the LSC’s Technology Summit Report 2024–2025.

“As the access to justice crisis grows and with funding cuts on the rise, we need to find new, innovative ways to serve more with less, guiding our low-income and vulnerable community from legal problems to actionable solutions,” Gray shared. “LawDroid, in partnership with legal aid, courts, government, and funders, has the tools in place to make this a reality.”

Before joining LawDroid, Gray was the business innovation manager for Bay Area Legal Services, an LSC-funded legal aid organization serving the Tampa Bay area with specialized programs throughout Florida. His work focused on improving business operations and the delivery of legal services, leading an innovation team of four, several multi-year, six-figure projects, and grants during his tenure. Gray was also the co-founder and business director of FosterPower, an award-winning program that provides youth and young adults in foster care with access to information on their legal rights through a dedicated app, website, videos, and training. In addition, he is the creator of A2J Jobs, a free job board for access to justice careers, which LSNTAP acquired in May 2025.Gray currently serves on the American Bar Association Commission on Youth and Family Justice and has held volunteer roles with legal, university, and nonprofit organizations. He earned an MBA with a specialization in strategic innovation from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida, Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) certifications, and several legal and nonprofit management certifications.
