Veteran technology executive brings decades of experience building major corporate partnerships and scaling revenue as Descrybe expands its presence in the legal AI market.
BOSTON, November 4, 2026 — Descrybe, the fast-growing legal research and intelligence platform for people and AI systems, today announced that Kevin Britt has joined the company as a strategic advisor, bringing decades of experience building technology businesses, developing major corporate partnerships, and driving revenue growth at scale.
Britt joins Descrybe during a period of accelerating growth and expanding industry influence. Founded in 2023, the company has established a significant presence in the emerging legal AI ecosystem, with its technology available through major AI platforms including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Microsoft. As demand for reliable legal intelligence grows across AI-powered products and professional workflows, Descrybe is expanding its commercial strategy to capitalize on a rapidly evolving market.
Most recently, Britt served as Head of Partnerships at 8am, the company behind MyCase, CASEpeer, Docketwise, and LawPay. During his five-year tenure, he built the company’s legal practice management partner ecosystem from the ground up, launching more than 70 partner solutions and leading a team that contributed over $70 million in software and payments revenue in fiscal year 2025. He also led commercial strategy for major embedded finance initiatives, negotiating partnerships with companies including Visa and Marqeta.
Britt’s career spans more than 25 years of executive leadership across legal technology, fintech, telecom, and enterprise software. He has held senior positions at companies including Hiya, INRIX, React Mobile, Airborne Mobile and Tamarac, developing partnerships with major corporations, opening new distribution channels, building revenue operations, and helping emerging technology businesses expand into new markets. His experience also includes corporate development and mergers and acquisitions.
“We built Descrybe to fundamentally change how legal intelligence is delivered, and we’ve established relationships with some of the most influential AI companies in the world,” said Kara Peterson, CEO and Co-Founder of Descrybe. “Now we’re building the business to match the opportunity. Kevin has spent his career creating the partnerships, revenue strategies, and commercial infrastructure that turn innovative technology into major businesses. He brings a level of experience and perspective that will be enormously valuable as we pursue our ambitions for Descrybe. We’re not thinking small, and neither is he.”
“What attracted me to Descrybe is the combination of exceptional technology, strong market positioning, and a substantial opportunity for growth,” said Britt. “Kara and Rich have already accomplished something that many much larger companies struggle to achieve building:differentiated technology and establishing a presence within the world’s leading AI ecosystems. The foundation is there. The opportunity now is to scale distribution, deepen strategic partnerships, and build the commercial relationships that can make Descrybe a major force in legal technology. That’s the kind of challenge I’ve spent my career working on, and I’m excited to be part of it.”
Descrybe is building the legal intelligence layer for a new generation of AI-powered technology, combining structured U.S. primary law with citation, subsequent treatment, issue, and source intelligence. Its technology enables people and AI systems to research legal questions, analyze authority, understand how the law fits together, verify sources, and identify unsupported claims.
Descrybe can be used directly through the Descrybe Platform, through Descrybe Legal Engine in leading AI assistants including ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Perplexity, or through the Descrybe Open Connector, which brings its legal research and intelligence capabilities into custom AI tools and workflows.
Britt’s appointment reflects Descrybe’s expanding ambitions as it moves to establish itself as a leading provider of the legal intelligence infrastructure powering the next generation of AI applications.
