Descrybe’s expansion into Microsoft 365 Copilot further advances its strategy to make legal intelligence available wherever people work

BOSTON, September 2, 2026 — Descrybe today announced that Descrybe Legal Engine is available within the Microsoft 365 Copilot ecosystem, giving organizations a new way to bring specialized legal research and intelligence directly into the AI tools their teams already use.

Microsoft highlighted Descrybe Legal Engine in its August 31, 2026 What’s New in Microsoft Copilotannouncement as one of six new Legal Services offerings, alongside iManage Work, Boardwise, Harvey, Relativity and Everlaw. The announcement was part of Microsoft’s continued expansion of the Copilot ecosystem with connectors and plugins that bring domain-specific knowledge and business data into everyday AI workflows.

Microsoft lists Descrybe Legal Engine in its Microsoft-built connectors gallery, with Microsoft as the publisher. As a Microsoft-published federated connector, Descrybe is enabled by default for Microsoft 365 tenants unless administrators disable it. Users can find Descrybe directly in Copilot’s Sources menu and connect without manually configuring an MCP connection.

Descrybe Legal Engine also works with Microsoft Copilot Cowork, enabling users to move from legal research to work product within a single Microsoft 365 workflow. Cowork can conduct legal research using Descrybe Legal Engine and then use the results to create a Microsoft Word document for review.
