Growth follows Descrybe’s collaboration with Anthropic on the Claude for the Legal Industry launch, where the company served as one of 22 launch collaborators.
Boston, Mass — June 29, 2026 — Descrybe, a purpose-built legal AI company, today announced that it has added more than 700 new paid subscribers in the six weeks following the Claude for the Legal Industry launch.
The growth reflects demand for professional legal research tools that combine authoritative primary law with the flexibility to support legal professionals wherever they already work.
Descrybe offers a standalone legal research platform and integrations that bring its legal research capabilities into leading AI assistants. Its tools support case law search, citation verification, treatment analysis, statutes and regulations research, and AI-assisted legal workflows.
“Seeing more than 700 new paid subscribers in six weeks is exciting,” said Kara Peterson, co-founder and CEO of Descrybe. “What I’m even more excited about is how our subscribers found us. This growth happened largely one subscriber at a time. To us, that says legal professionals want trustworthy legal research, purpose-built tools, predictable pricing, and the flexibility to work in the environment that makes the most sense for them.”
Richard DiBona, Descrybe’s co-founder and CTO, said that philosophy continues to shape the company’s product strategy.
“We’ve never viewed the standalone platform and our AI integrations as competing products,” DiBona said. “They’re complementary. Some legal work deserves a dedicated research platform with specialized tools. Other work starts inside an AI assistant. Our goal is to make the same trusted legal research available in both so legal professionals don’t have to compromise.”
As part of its commitment to support legal professionals wherever they work, Descrybe recently released its Perplexity connector, allowing subscribers to use Descrybe’s legal research directly within Perplexity. Additional integrations are planned.
