EvenUp, a company that specializes in AI tools for personal injury law practices, today launched Communication Agents, AI-powered voice and text assistants designed to automate routine communications in PI case management. The company also announced enhancements to its AI drafting capabilities.

The company announced the new features during a keynote by cofounder Saam Mashhad at the National Trial Lawyers Summit in Miami.

Early deployments have shown the Communication Agents reclaim more than nine hours per case by eliminating repetitive administrative work, the company says.

“Everyone’s asking if AI will replace people,” Mashhad said. “Wrong question. The right question is: Why is your best case manager on minute 43 of a phone call, spelling names using the NATO alphabet, only to learn the account went to collections months ago? We’re not replacing people. We’re replacing friction.”

Automating Case Communications

EvenUp’s Communication Agents are designed to handle routine case management tasks throughout the case lifecycle. These can include opening insurance claims, confirming liability and coverage, checking on client treatment status, requesting medical records, and verifying medical balances before settlement.

The agents work through voice calls and text messages, operating in parallel across multiple cases to reduce hold times and phone tag that typically slow case progression.

“Time on desk is everything in personal injury,” said Dwuan Hammond, CFO at Jeffcoat Injury & Car Accident Lawyers, an early adopter, in a statement provided by EvenUp. “Using Communication Agents for balance verification eliminates three hours per case previously spent on the phone with medical providers, allowing us to move cases through disbursement faster and get our clients their settlements sooner.”

Danielle White, disbursement manager at Jeffcoat, said the balance verification agent has eliminated bottlenecks in their disbursement process. “Now, we get clients their settlements faster and deliver better outcomes for them.”

Enhanced AI Drafting

EvenUp also announced enhancements to its AI Drafts Suite, including updates to its Mirror Mode feature, which is designed to help attorneys develop confidence in AI-assisted drafting.

The enhancements focus on consistency in tone and document structure, transparency into how drafts are constructed, and embedded personal injury best practices drawn from a continuously refined knowledge base.

Additional updates include case-file-specific drafting with attorney-controlled file selection, manual redaction controls, dynamic exhibit references that adjust as records change, and one-click template expansion.

EvenUp positions itself as a proactive AI platform built exclusively for personal injury law firms. The company’s approach centers on automating repetitive tasks to allow legal teams to focus on case strategy, client relationships, and care coordination.
