The LegalTech Fund, which was the first venture capital firm devoted exclusively to law and legal technology, announced today that it will convene its first TLTF Summit in December — a three-day event for investors, startups and legal innovation thought leaders that will feature networking, dealmaking and educational opportunities.

Scheduled for Dec. 7-9 in Miami, the event will be capped at 250 attendees, so that it will be intimate and highly curated. Registration opened today.

The Summit will include the debut TLTF Startup Challenge, a pitch competition open to legal and regulatory technology startups in the pre-seed through Series A stages. Winners will be selected by expert judges and will be celebrated on the final day of the event. Challenge applications are now being accepted here, and must be submitted by Aug. 31.

Zach Posner, managing partner and cofounder of TLTF, said the summit will be designed to offer a unique experience for the global community of legal tech investors, innovators and thought leaders.

“We are especially excited about the TLTF Startup Challenge, which will provide a forum for early-stage legal technology companies to tell their stories to the stakeholders that can help them reach their full potential, including investors, business development partners, customers and potential acquirers,” Posner said.

“In turn, these stakeholders will meet the brightest new entrepreneurs in the space. We anticipate that the Summit will create a lasting groundswell of momentum, excitement and connection to energize attendees and help them further their investment objectives.”

All Summit registered attendees, including investors and startup entrepreneurs, will receive access to all sessions and networking events.  A limited number of sponsor partnerships are also available to gain exposure within this extraordinary community. The registration deadline for the TLTF Summit is Nov. 23.
