Atlanta-based Aderant, a global provider of business management software for law firms, has named Scott Moretti as senior director of sales for the Eastern U.S. region.

Moretti steps into a position held for the past decade by Kevin Standing, who recently retired after some 35 years in the legal industry, 25 of them with Aderant.

“Scott knows legal tech and is a proven sales professional and leader,” Chris Cartrett, executive vice president at Aderant, said in a statement provided by the company. “Having spent nearly 20 successful years working in the legal tech industry, we will benefit significantly from Scott’s expertise, contacts, and talent for business development.”

Moretti comes from 19 years at Thomson Reuters Elite, where he was most recently senior director of sales, North America, and previously was director of sales for Western North America.

Moretti will be involved in business development for all products within Aderant’s line-up, including setting sales strategy, developing the sales pipeline, establishing and maintaining strategic alliances, and mentoring sales team members.
