Atlanta-based Aderant, a global provider of business management software for law firms, has named Jairam Padmanabhan to the newly created position of chief product officer.

In this new role, Padmanabhan’s primary objective will be to accelerate the company’s worldwide innovation across its entire product suite.

Padmanabhan is a veteran product management leader with more than 30 years experience in software strategy, marketing, and development, with a particular focus on the professional services market.

He has substantial knowledge of cloud-based machine learning and artificial intelligence technology, Aderant said.

Before joining Aderant, Padmanabhan was chief product officer at XCM Solutions, a financial and accounting software company that was recently acquired by Wolters Kluwer.

Earlier, he held executive positions at Sage, Fiserv and Wolters Kluwer, among other roles.

In a statement released by the company, Aderant CEO Deane S. Price said that Padmanabhan is uniquely qualified to optimize Aderant’s technology assets to provide greater flexibility, efficiency and effectiveness for its customers.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has made software more essential than ever as law firms have adapted to remote work,” Price said. “Under Jairam’s leadership, Aderant’s product teams will leverage cutting-edge resources so we can continue delivering best-in-class cloud-based and on-premise solutions to our clients.”

Padmanabhan said he believes his background in professional services technology will allow him to further enhance Aderant’s product portfolio.

“We will leverage the most state-of-the-art cloud, data analytics, AI and machine learning tools available to make products more intuitive, useful and trustworthy,” he said.
