Scott Mozarsky, former president of Bloomberg Law, has been named regional managing director, North America, for Vannin Capital,  a company that provides financing and expert support to corporations and law firms involved in high-value commercial disputes.

Mozarsky will have overall responsibility for the North American business of the company, which was founded in 2010.

Mozarsky left Bloomberg Law last month, after serving as its president since 2016. An attorney, he joined Bloomberg BNA in 2014. Earlier, he held a number of leadership roles during a 13-year tenure at UBM plc, including president of UBM Tech and chief commercial officer of PR Newswire.

He practiced law for seven years in private practice and served as general counsel of UBM. Mozarsky holds a B.A. from Williams College and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.

“Vannin is a leader in the litigation funding space,” Mozarsky said in a statement. “It is a privilege to work alongside such talented colleagues and help drive the company’s strategy and growth in North America. I look forward to being a part of Vannin’s continued success and to working with our managing directors and leadership team in the U.S. and throughout the world.”
