American Lawyer Media today introduced its redesigned Web site for jobseekers, employers and recruiters. The redesign adds new tools for identifying, tracking and managing resumes, job opportunities and responses.

Here is an excerpt from the announcement:

“ features thousands of employment listings exclusively for legal professionals each day, as well as news, analysis and career advice related to the legal job marketplace drawn from ALM’s award-winning national and regional publications. The new utilizes technology from CareerCast, a leading supplier of Web-based recruitment platforms and services for major media and employer job sites.

“New tools help jobseekers create effective resumes and cover letters and allow them to perform flexible, detailed searches of the job database by job title, category and geography. Users can submit resumes confidentially, respond to multiple openings at one time and create folders to track applications and responses from prospective employers. Search agent profiles can be defined to automatically inform jobseekers by e-mail when a position that matches their criteria has been added to the job database.

“Advertisers can now post or revise online job listings in less than one business day. Employers and recruiters can create company/law firm profiles for candidates; track and report on both online ad viewing and responses for multiple listings using folders; and search the online resume bank, scheduled to launch this fall, to match job requirements with prospective candidates.”
